We are seeking dynamic leaders with a proven track record in project management and MEP system design, ready to drive innovation in our diverse range of projects.We are currently accepting applications for a Licensed (PE) Mechanical Engineer at a Senior Associate level to join our team in Santa Ana, Pasadena, or San Francisco.This role is on a hybrid schedule with Monday and Tuesday in the office each week with site visits and work from home for the remainder of the week.Essential FunctionsLeverage your passion for and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and engineering to:Conduct property condition assessments (PCAs)Provide estimations of probable costsPeer review building designsPerform energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management and design and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systemsInteract with site personnel and clients in both technical and non-technical termsEngage in a diverse array of projects offering unique challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impactTravel to project sites is requiredQualifications,Skills,and ExperienceIdeal candidates will possess a BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical specialty preferred, PE, with 15 or more years of experience in the engineering design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systemsDemonstrated leadership and project management successes are expectedHVAC and plumbing system expertise is required, along with a fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systemsCandidates will possess a working knowledge of national and state building codes and experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, WUFI analysis, commissioning and sustainability consultingAbility to assess MEP systems, report on issues found, and problem-solve on behalf of our clientsAbility to integrate your interest in Sustainability with practical legal requirements to provide expert solutions to our clientsAbility to market services to existing and new clientsLEED or CEM certificates are a plusThe ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask are essentialProficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid and BoxWe value professionals who are eager to collaborate across disciplines and are committed to lifelong learning in the ever-evolving field of MEP engineeringJoin us in shaping the future of MEP consulting services at Marx|Okubo.
