This role involves performing in-flight duties, assistingmaintenance test pilots, troubleshooting, adjusting, and ensuring aircraft functionality both in the air and on theground. The position is integral to the operation and maintenance of the MH60-R fleet, ensuring safe and effectiveflight operations in compliance with Navy standards.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* In-Flight and Ground Operations:o Serve as a flight crew member for MH60-R helicopter operations, performing duties during dayand night shifts.o Conduct in-flight observation, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring the aircraft is functioningproperly during flight.o Perform aircraft functional checks, including run-ups and magnetic compass swings whennecessary.o Operate specialized tracking and balancing equipment, hoists, cranes, and other tools requiredfor functional assignments.* Aircraft Maintenance:o Perform regular aircraft mechanic duties when not engaged in flight mechanic responsibilities.o Conduct maintenance checks and perform maintenance operational checks (MOCs) and run-upsas needed.o Complete accurate maintenance documentation using the Integrated Maintenance Data System(IMDS) and other required forms.o Assist with removing and reinstalling cowlings, panels, and fairings as required for maintenancetasks.o Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to new personnel as assigned.* Maintain detailed records of all maintenance performed in OOMA or similar to OOMA systems ensuringcompliance with 4790 and safety standards.* Support Duties:o Operate motor vehicles, equipment, and special tools as required by the assignment.o Maintain cleanliness and preservation of tools, vehicles, and equipment.Page 2of 3o Support flight line operations, including assisting with aircraft launch, recovery, and security.o Handle hazardous materials according to safety guidelines.o Perform imaging technology functions and document-related tasks as necessary.o Dispose of hazardous materials properly, as required by job duties.* Safety and Compliance:o Adhere to M1 safety culture, completing required training and participating in emergencyresponse efforts.o Ensure compliance with M1 Quality Policy and the operational, safety, quality, and environmentalstandards for the role.Qualifications and Experience:* Education and Experience:o High school diploma or equivalent (GED).o At least 5 years of experience in a relevant maintenance position.o Must be qualified in Mission/Design/Series (MDS) for the MH60-R or have at least 4 years ofexperience with the MH60-R model.o Completed Naval Aircrew school and MH60-R Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) training.o Must meet all required training standards as specified by US Navy instructions (OPNAV/CNAF3710).o Must hold a valid US government Common Access Card (CAC) or temporary DBIDS credential.o Must possess and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 Background Investigation (SecretClearance required).o Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.o Must hold a valid driver's license.o Must be able to pass a physical examination and meet FAA medical standards for flight duties(Class 1 and Class 2).o Must maintain class II swim qualification and complete Aviation Physiology and Water SurvivalQualification.* Other Requirements:o Must be available to work flexible hours, including all shifts, as flight schedules dictate.Working Conditions:* Must be capable of lifting 50lbs and performing physical tasks as required.* Computer usage for documentation using codes and clear written and verbal English languagerequired.* Constant use of eye sight abilities while reviewing documents, walking around work areas andconstant use of English language speech/hearing abilities for communication.* Constant mental alertness around all work areas, must possess planning/organization skills, andmust be able to work under deadlines.* Climbing aircraft using aircraft step and all types of ladders or stands.Page 3of 3* Standing long period of time and minimal sitting.* Ability to work under extreme weather conditions.* Work site has head, hand, hearing, eye, slip and trip hazards shall use proper PPE and propersafety procedures.M1 Support Services, headquartered in Denton, Texas provides a variety of professional, technical, and maintenance services to theDepartment of Defense and government agencies.M1 Support Services is an equal opportunity employer.
