Senior Construction Project Manager

Overview Job Title: Sr/Executive Project Manager (Construction) We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Sr/Executive Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Geneva IL. Responsibilities Project Planning and Development Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to define project objectives, scope, and requirements Prepare detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Obtain necessary permits and licenses. Project Execution and Control Oversee all aspects of project execution, including procurement, construction activities, and subcontractor management. Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work in progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction. Maintain accurate documentation, including project records, change orders, and progress reports. Coordinate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status and updates. Team Leadership and Collaboration Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors and project coordinators. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective teamwork and communication. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project goals, progress, and challenges. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project. Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Identify opportunities for additional work or project expansions with existing clients. Safety and Compliance Ensure immediate submission of Safety Manuals from all subcontractors and enforce weekly on-site Toolbox Talks with documented attendance. Retain all safety documents in the dedicated Safety Folder under the project's Drop Box. Contract Management Issue subcontracts to successful bidders and incorporate them into Sage. Request a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from all subcontractors – a non-negotiable requirement. Should no job-specific COI information be available, the COI must at least feature client as the certificate holder, along with project-specific details, and include the owner as an additional insured. Qualifications and Requirements 5+ years of experience Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in [specific type of construction projects, e.g., residential, commercial, or industrial]. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and regulations. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project needs. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
