We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Southern California Civil team. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, and training for less experienced staff, which could be in technical, project management, marketing, or business development areas.Key duties and responsibilities include:Complete design by discipline for projects of all sizesMake major design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staffPlan design work by discipline for all project sizes and assign duties to staffReview correspondence prepared by junior staffParticipate actively in quality control of projectsTechnical Path:Contribute to leadership in our Technical Operations Team for various projectsAnalyze technical problems, write reports, and act as an advisorConduct project reviews for quality control on large, complex projectsProvide technical assistance on field issues, including site visits to resolve technical problems independentlyORProject Management Path:Serve effectively as Project Manager on large or multiple smaller projectsIdentify prospective clients, assist in marketing, and prepare proposalsBring work into the firm through existing or new clients and participate in client presentationsRequired skills and abilities:Must meet all duties of Civil Project Engineer 2 and demonstrate leadership traits in either pathMastery of technical aspects of civil engineeringMentoring, motivating, and leading othersPerform final quality control checksExcellent oral and written communication skillsEducation and experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer licenseMinimum of 8 years of relevant experienceThis position is not eligible for sponsorshipSalary Range: $90,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location, experience, and other factors.
