Your expertise will enhance every project phase, from field investigations to analysis and documentation.You will mentor junior engineers, influence project outcomes, and contribute to business development, helping Walker grow and excel in client service. Our unique true ownership program allows shareholders to benefit directly from the company’s growth, providing a compelling opportunity to grow professionally and financially with us.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating engineering project phases.Lead the engineering design efforts on projects.Train and mentor Project Engineers.Support the acquisition of technical support personnel.Handle complex engineering tasks involving conflicting requirements, unconventional materials, or challenging coordination.Collaborate with the Project Manager through all project phases.Review drawings and specifications, recommending revisions as needed.Gather and monitor project data, including surveys, codes, and soils.Review shop drawings and respond to field questions related to design.Maintain quality, budgets, and schedules.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's in Structural or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university; Master’s preferred.Experience: Minimum 10 years in project engineering and management.Licensing: Registered PE or SE, or ability to obtain license within 1 year.Skills: Strong problem-solving, structural engineering knowledge, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred SkillsExperience in designing and constructing parking garages is a plus.Additional InformationWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including bonuses, stock purchase options, health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, wellness benefits, and more.Why Join Walker?Founded in 1965, Walker has a legacy of leadership in parking design and structural engineering.
