Senior Technical Writer

Job DescriptionMacroSys is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with demonstrated professional/technical writing and editing skills, preferably in a transportation or technology-related field.Responsibilities:Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehensionGenerate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutionsMeet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressedAnalyze information required for the development or update of policies, procedures, and other documentationCreate original drafts of new communication products, including speeches, articles, news releases, etc.Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the teamQualifications:Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and 10 years of relevant experienceExperience writing speeches, sometimes with swift turnaroundFluency in technical and common office software (Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat)Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to take on new challenges and build on current skillsExceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skillsAbility to multitask and be a self-starterAbility to check all technical material for consistency and accuracyKnowledge of Drupal is a plusCandidates MUST have a portfolio of articles, speeches, and/or other technical writing samples that demonstrate his/her/their professional writing experience.Candidate MUST be either a U.S. citizen or lawfully permitted to work in the United pany Description: Located in the heart of Washington, DC, MacroSys, LLC, is a federal consulting company with nearly three decades of experience providing integrated research and analysis, communications, and IT solutions tailor-made to support the unique mission, policies, operational goals, and outreach and education initiatives of federal government programs.
