The key objectives of this role are to:Drive a culture of safety through leadership, role modelling and compliance to safety systemsDrive improvement on quality standards across the site, ensuring the site manufactures products that meet all our quality standards and specificationsIdentify, make recommendations, and drive continuous improvement for site operationsIdentify business risks with recommendations to eliminate / alleviateDrive plant performance standards including downtime and efficiencyAssist with implementation of Lean Manufacturing methodologies including but not limited to 5S, Daily Operations Management process, Visual Management, teamwork, and autonomous maintenanceSupervise the operations team through effective communicationCoordinate shift scheduling and overtimeWeekly/monthly stocktakes of finished productsDaily Planning and Tracking of all export containersAbout You:Leadership experience within a manufacturing environmentSound understanding of mechanical equipment and safety and environmental aspects of manufacturingProficient in Export Container management through tracking and planningStrong ability to problem solve and ability to think creativelyExcellent work ethic and values importance of producing quality productsExcellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skillsDesire to challenge existing processes and procedures to drive continuous improvementProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelValid Forklift licence and/or mobile plant tickets (would be an advantage)What We Offer:A welcoming, friendly and inclusive work cultureTraining and development opportunities, including study supportOpportunities to grow within a fast-growing organisationEmployee Assistance ProgramWho We Are:A global leader in tyre recycling, Tyrecycle has delivered strong environmental and economic outcomes by repurposing materials otherwise destined for landfill.Our plants are equipped with advanced rubber re-manufacturing capabilities and we collect over 20 million tyres per annum with a recycling rate of 99%.
