Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $280,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from Piper Maddox Responsibilities Lead and oversee electrical design for large-scale renewable energy power plants. Review and perform electrical studies including short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, insulation coordination, load flow, grounding, and ampacity. Ensure consistency and quality in construction drawings, calculations, and studies produced by the electrical design team. Collaborate with civil and structural engineering teams to deliver integrated project designs. Support construction phases by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals. Manage and mentor electrical engineering team members, allocating resources effectively and optimizing workflows. Serve as a project and client manager within the energy practice, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction. Ideal Candidate A proactive leader with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a passion for renewable energy. Skilled in managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects. Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced environments and solving complex technical challenges. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Active PE (Electrical) certification. Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience, including at least 6 years in a leadership role. Proficiency in AC and DC systems; experience with solar projects preferred. Familiarity with NEC 2020 & 2017 standards. Experience with HV systems, substations, and overhead line design is a plus. Strong command of electrical engineering tools (e.g., ETAP, XGSLab, DigSilent, AutoCAD). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
