Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Human Factors ResearcherLocation: One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014Mode: OnsiteDuration: 6 monthsJob Description:Human Factors EngineerThe Applied Research and Characterization team is seeking a Human Factors Researcher to drive design decision making across the client.Candidates will collaborate with designers, engineers, and other researchers to collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to help the client develop the best possible product for the customer.Candidates will work with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements, formulate research questions, and select study methods.Design and execute user studies combining data from quantitative measures of human performance with subjective experiences and feedback.Analyze study data, identify key insights, and present results and recommendations to stakeholders.Education and Experience:BS in Human Factors, Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Psychology, Computer Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction, or a relevant field in the consumer products industry.Minimum Qualifications:Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods and human user studies.Proficiency in analyzing quantitative data and understanding statistical analysis.Strong communication skills to present ideas and defend results.Ability to engage with research participants, elicit experiences, and actively listen to feedback.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with sensors and/or prototype hardware.Background in mechanical design, biomechanics, or engineering disciplines.Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, JMP, or R for data analysis.Pay Range: $45- $55/hour.The specific compensation will depend on factors like role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, and experience.
