The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.Reporting into the Engineering management team and as the friendly face of the member experience you will:Plan and prioritize the demanding jobs of the engineering team, keeping the operation running smoothly with minimizing disruptionsYou’ll need to balance the reactive jobs with the preventative and upkeep jobsCommunicate efficiently within the team and across departments – the engineering team supports the entire business so keeping people in the loop about their requested jobs is essentialSupport your engineering team in keeping our job management software, Knowcross, up to date and being used to maximize efficiencyKeep records and logs up to date, you’ll make sure we’re always audit ready and compliantWhat you can bring to the role:It goes without saying that your organizational skills will be second to none, you’ll be the hidden hero keeping many moving parts in sync with each otherYour communication skills will also be outstanding, you’ll use written, phone, and face to face communication to make sure everyone knows what they need to contribute to the bigger pictureThis is a high-pressure role, so an ability to stay calm and inspire confidence in others is needed, paired with the ability to pivot problem solve, and re-plan when things inevitably change on occasionLicenses and previous experience within HVAC, Plumbing or electrical preferredWhat The Ned can give you:Salary of $28.50/hourMedical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD InsuranceComplimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opensExciting learning and development programs to help progress your careerExclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel staysPaid time off401k matchingEmployee assistance program - advice and supportReward and recognition initiativesAt The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
