OverviewU.S. Electrical Testing specializes in electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning services for the nation's most recognizable mission-critical facilities, secure environments, commercial and industrial clients, and electrical contractors. The company's capabilities include emergency response, engineering services, and turn-key installation and repair.ResponsibilitiesThe Commissioning Engineer team is responsible for performing final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including breakers, transformers, switches, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers, as well as other electrical apparatus both in the field and in a manufacturing environment. An understanding of sophisticated electrical distribution systems of complex electrical test equipment is required. You will contribute to a safe working environment for co-workers and customers and help ensure the overall success of projects. Local, regional, and national travel may be required.Assists more experienced Commissioning specialist coordinating, and reviewing electrical deliverablesPrepares and reviews simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheetsPerforms simple routine electrical calculationsAssists in review of supplier documentation for compliance with specificationsUses the electrical engineering web site to access department guides and standardsBasic knowledge of Commissioning, inspection and testing of electrical components and systemKnowledge of basic electrical engineering theoriesBasic power system familiarity with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, power panels, protection relays, UPS systems, power monitoring systems, test equipment, etc.Proficient with technical writingKnowledge of advance mathematicsBasic awareness of industry codes and standardsGood communications skillsWilling to travel to customer sites periodicallyQualificationsApplicants selected must have minimum 4+ years of relevant electrical experience OR associate's degree with minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience OR Bachelor's degree with minimum 1+ years of relevant electrical experience or minimum 8+years of relevant electrical experience with a HS diploma or GEDPossess a valid/active U.S. Work AuthorizationCandidate Expectations:Electronics Installation and/or Maintenance on Multiple Systems.Using trade drawings e.g.: architectural, electrical, mechanical and civil to identify potential design and installation problems.Knowledge of industry standards including sections of NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.Desired / Advantageous QualificationsOEM certified field service training program.Certifications (desired/advantageous): NETA level III, or IV preferredWe offer an excellent benefits package including:A competitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursement401k Retirement PlanMilitary Reserve pay offsetPaid maternity leaveAbilities:Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.Sitting for extended periods of time.Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and municate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.Identify and understand the speech of another person.Pay RangeUSD $32.77 - USD $52.44 /Hr. #J-18808-Ljbffr
