You will join an inclusive, results-driven, honest, and professional collaborative team across multiple office locations in New York, Connecticut, and California to build different.We are seeking experienced Superintendents with Commercial Construction in the luxury retail sector to lead projects located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. As a Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership and supervision to a team of construction professionals and subcontractors.Responsibilities:Effectively manage subcontractors and provide overall supervision of a projectEnsure all interaction with clients, architects, and engineers is professional and timelyManage the project schedule, including weekly preparation of 3 week look-ahead scheduleMaintain a daily log of activity and coordinate between tradesKeep safety as a focus and ensure job sites are operating according to all safety standardsAbility to work as part of a team or autonomouslyManage close-out process and warranty responses in partnership with Project ManagerCoordinate site testing and inspection effortsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialAttend and participate in weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetingsTechnical Skills:Comfort with using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Zoom, preferred knowledge of Procore and Timberline/ SageEducational and Professional Qualifications:High school diploma required; junior college or construction education desiredFive year minimum experience at a commercial general contracting companyExcellent time management and communication skillsAble to work with tools to perform various phases of construction workDemonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specificationsExperience managing subcontractors across multiple trades10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health CertificateAbout the companySchimenti Construction Company, founded in 1994, is a general contractor and construction manager specializing in retail construction throughout New York, New Jersey and New England.
