Join us.About the Team:The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R's nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team's structure intentionally combines avionics design, manufacturing, and testing to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers work closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. Now is a unique time to join: you'll help shape Terran R's fundamental avionics architecture and be given a high degree of ownership on components that will fly.About the Role:Understanding data acquisition techniques, sensor functionality, and data processingPerform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting of instrumentation at the component and integrated levelDevelop and execute test procedures, install instructions, checkout processesDocument instrumentation sensor calibrations and as-built configurations during manufacturingProvide feedback to design engineering to improve products and data qualityBe part of a dynamic, self-motivated team and take ownership of instrumentation installsAbout You:Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field5+ years of experience working with instrumentation or sensors in development or testing environmentsExperience troubleshooting anomalies and leading failure investigations of complex systemsNice to haves (not required):Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter product lifecycle managementExperience with agile development and JiraExperience supporting sensor installations in a final assembly manufacturing environmentAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
