We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions.Supports manufacturing processes activities to ensure we deliver the highest quality products to our customers and patients, at the lowest cost and quickest lead time.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis is a 100% onsite position in the Palo Alto, CA, location.Must be able to work second shiftMust be able to work overtime and weekends as required, on short noticePublishes and maintains manufacturing, test, and rework instructions.Assesses manufacturing efficiency by analyzing process flow and performance data.Participates in root cause analysis to better understand failure modes and implement countermeasures and permanent process improvements.Assist engineering in evaluating and defining requirements for manufacturing and test systems and processes.Provide support to manufacturing in conducting the evaluation of nonconforming product and process related issues using a risk-based approach to resolve problems.Serves as a manufacturing process SME that partners with R & D for DfM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback, solving complex issues, and releasing new products.Maintains records and reporting systems according to the company standards and industry dependently manage work center processes documentation, rework support, tool troubleshooting, and improvement implementation.Actively coaches less experienced team members and provides oversight for projects and daily work.Order tools and equipment as required.Minimum Required Skills And KnowledgeWorks from drawing, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and mechanical trouble-shooting functions.Proficiency using manufacturing, test, or diagnostic equipmentExperience in subassembly builds and final system assembly processesExperience with workmanship standard (M7-8000 or equivalent).Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and editing of relevant technical documents (manufacturing instructions, drawings, IMTE’s,.Experience in subassembly builds and final system assembly processes.Hands-on experience in manufacturing, test, or production processes, including manual and power tools.Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with technicians and engineers.Proficiency with various software (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams; SAP, PDF editor)Required Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma with 8 years of related experience in a production technician or engineering technician role.Electro-Mechanical assembly knowledge.Experience in Medical Devices or similarly regulated environment.Desired Education And ExperienceLean / Six Sigma trainingExperience with pumps and vacuum systemsEngineering, technical associate degree or equivalent (military, trade school, etc.)Formal technical writing training or equivalent experienceProcess validation training (IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV)Knowledge of engineering change notices (EC), Discrepancy Reports (DR), rework instructions, product structures and bills of material (BOM)Non-conformance processing (Qnotes, Process Déviations, MRB)Experience in a machine shop environment, including operation of equipment such as CMM, mill or lathe, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.Equipment calibration knowledgeExperience with soldering, brazing and welding.Experience with tooling/fixturingWho we are: We are a team of more than 73,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
