OverviewHardware Engineer will contribute to the design validation, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware products across platforms such as servers, networking equipment, and personal computing devices. This role will take ownership of test setup, independently execute verification and scale testing procedures, and conduct in-depth failure analyses. The Hardware Engineer will support engineering and production teams by providing actionable insights that improve product reliability, manufacturability, and quality.Duties/ResponsibilitiesTest Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test stations for product validation. Define the appropriate hardware, software, and procedures to test products under real-world conditions.Verification and Scale Testing: Execute and refine test cases to assess performance, functionality, and scalability. Identify inconsistencies and recommend adjustments to design or process.Failure Analysis and Debugging: Investigate hardware failures during development or production. Identify root causes, propose solutions, and support corrective action implementation.New Product Introduction (NPI): Participate in product transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing. Translate engineering specifications into operational guidance, and support ramp-up through documentation, feedback, and troubleshooting.Documentation: Produce detailed reports on test outcomes, debug findings, and engineering support activities. Maintain thorough documentation for traceability and future reference.Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for cross-functional teams by addressing hardware-related issues during testing, pilot builds, or production runs.Collaboration: Work closely with team members, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of deliverables aligned with team and project goals.Other Duties: Support additional engineering tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Required Skills/AbilitiesWorking knowledge of server systems, including hardware components and diagnostic procedures. Familiarity with hardware such as network switches, power distribution systems, and personal computing devices, with the ability to assist in their integration or troubleshooting.Understanding of computer hardware architecture, including experience applying concepts like PCIe, USB, and system buses in test or debug scenarios.Proficient with test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and soldering/rework equipment, with experience applying them in lab or production environments.Experience working with or troubleshooting management protocols (e.g., Redfish, IPMI) during validation or issue resolution.Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite for documenting procedures, reporting test results, and communicating technical findings.Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.Clear and concise technical communication skills for both documentation and team collaboration.Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of handling assigned tasks independently while supporting broader team goals.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.3+ years of professional experience in hardware development, validation, or manufacturing support.Seniorities and EmploymentSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: Computers and Electronics Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
