Senior Human Factors Engineer

Job SummarySenior Human Factors Engineer in Thousand Oaks, CA (Onsite). This is a full-time, on-site role for a 1-year contract, with the possibility of renewal.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage instructional design projects, including Instructions for Use (IFU).Create both low- and high-fidelity digital samples of instructional materials.Support usability studies in a design-test-refine-test cycle.Hand-build small batches of prototypes for concept development and usability studies.Maintain history records to capture rationale for changes in instruction development.Support process improvement initiatives within the group and cross-functional partners.Qualifications5-10 years of instruction design experience, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.3-5 years of experience in prototyping small-volume cartons, leaflets, and labeling.3-5 years of experience managing design projects and/or teams.Background in medical, healthcare, medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical.Excellent time management skills and high-level attention to detail.Ability to balance multiple detail-oriented projects.Basic QualificationsDoctorate degree and 2 years of experienceMaster’s degree and 2 years of experienceBachelor’s degree and 4 years of experienceAssociate’s degree and 8 years of experienceHigh school diploma / GED and 10 years of experienceAbout SSi PeopleWith over 26 years of industry experience, SSi People has built its reputation and expertise on putting people first.
