Job Title: Mechanical MEP EngineerLocations: Miami, FL; Omaha, NE; New York, NYCompany: Schnackel Engineers, Inc.OverviewThis position requires a skilled Mechanical MEP Engineer responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing mechanical systems for commercial and residential building projects. Key responsibilities include load calculations, equipment selection, system layout development, detailed drawing preparation, and coordination with other engineering disciplines. An understanding of mechanical, fire protection, HVAC principles, industry standards, and building codes is essential.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate with clients, MEP/FP/IT design teams, and other consultants to ensure design alignment with client’s vision, resolve conflicts, maintain a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and adhere to the schedule.Participate in meetings and conference calls with clients and internal teams as needed.Create mechanical construction documents using AutoCAD/Revit and other software, including plans with equipment, ductwork, piping, and specifications.Perform load calculations, ductwork and pipe sizing, and other necessary calculations for mechanical design support.Coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturers for equipment selection and specifications.Qualifications:Degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.At least 3 years of mechanical design experience with an MEP engineering consultant.Proficiency with Building, Mechanical, and Energy Codes.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credentials in Mechanical Engineering.Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Mechanical Engineering.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to work independently and efficiently with necessary guidance.Why Join Schnackel Engineers?Be part of a mid-sized company valuing quality, efficiency, and clear communication.Work on diverse projects across the USA with leading companies and architectural/engineering firms.Opportunity to lead and mentor colleagues, sharing your industry pensation and Benefits:Competitive salary based on market standards.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Ten PTO days and nine paid holidays.Sick leave, W-2 employment, and 401K matching.Voluntary HSA account and voluntary life insurance options.Biweekly salary, quarterly bonuses based on team performance, and education assistance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
