Learn more about what the team is building, the team culture, and why it’s one of the most exciting projects at Applied Intuition.About The RoleApplied Intuition is looking for a senior electrical engineer with expertise in developing compute hardware products for next-generation electric and autonomous vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems with world-class internal and external development partners.ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical schematics for automotive applications, incorporating SoCs/MCUs, power (SMPS, Linear), memory components (eMMC, DDR, NVMe), and peripherals from concept to productionDesign boards that use high & low speed digital interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI, DP, ethernet, etc), and automotive interfaces such as LIN, CANCreate detailed component block diagrams and engage with PCB/PCBA vendors for fabrication and assemblyDevelop and execute test plans to validate design performance and document resultsStay updated on new technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and align with industry best practicesQualificationsBS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringAt least 5 years of hands-on hardware design experience with a strong grasp of analog and power design, digital design and interfaces (such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, eMMC UART)Proficiency in schematic capture and layoutSkills in lab tools such as bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzersIn-depth understanding of PCB manufacturing, product delivery, and extensive experience in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systemsAn open-minded and collaborative attitude, and is eager to assist others as a team playerExcellent technical writing skills for clear communication and documentationNice to havePrior experience in building automotive hardware systems and/or designing and building prototype vehiclesPrior experience high-volume production of hardware productsPrior experience with building real-time HW systems with safety constraintsPrior experience with Altium DesignerExperience designing circuits that drive cameras and/or displaysCompensationCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position.
