You will play a key role on the team, delivering both Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects across multiple sectors. Your ability to translate designs into accurate estimates and collaborate with project teams will directly support high-impact federal projects.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Cost Engineer/Estimator with a proven track record of preparing cost estimates, risk assessments, and proposal reports through the planning and design phases of a project. If you would like to join a dynamic, mission-driven team that allows you to utilize your skills, we invite you to apply today!This position requires authorization to work in the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates in-house using software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects based on conceptual and schematic design, development, drawings, and construction documentsMeet with clients and designers to discuss cost implications and justificationsProvide technical reviews of project constructability design and analysisExecute change order analyses and reviewsConduct electronic take-offs on various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systemsTravel 10% – typically once a quarter for short durations (2-5 days) after first yearBasic QualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience preparing cost estimates and conducting takeoffsKnowledge of OST, PlanSwift, RSMeans, or other relevant softwareStrong organizational skills with experience managing multiple deadlines and prioritiesDetail-oriented and proactive with the ability to work independently and within a team environmentPreferred [but not required]Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseCertified Cost Professional (CCP) CertificationExperience on design-build teams for commercial and industrial construction projectsExperience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies100% paid Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance for employee coverage401(k) Retirement Plan with matchingAnnual Bonus PlanProfessional Development Stipend for approved training, certifications etc.Clear path for Career AdvancementAlliance is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that delivers Civil Design, Facility Planning, and Cost Estimation services to private and public sector clients.
