As part of our team, your opportunities are limitlessResponsibilitiesThe RF Engineer III will be responsible for design, design review, acceptance, approval, and troubleshooting a broad array of wireless communication networks.Summary:This role supports the RF Engineering team responsible for air-to-ground (ATG) RF network performance validation and optimization. The position requires nighttime work flying in business aviation aircraft and the flexibility to travel and work remotely once the in-flight testing phase begins post construction.Key Responsibilities:Run test cases with the ATG LTE UE and eNB equipment in a lab environmentCollect RF performance measurements through flight testingTroubleshoot hardware/software measurement collection issues during flight testingDevelop inflight and post flight software/scripts to assist in testing activities and enable automationAnalyze RF and call processing performance logs to identify and document issuesOptimize network configuration/design, e.g. PCI plan, sector tilts, neighbor relations based on the measurement analysisQualificationsQualifications:Bachelor degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience operating equipment in an RF lab environmentPrevious drive test experienceDeep understanding of the wireless propagation environment, link budgetsFamiliarity with RF network design principlesKnowledge of LTE network KPI's and PM'sMinimum of 5 years working with LTE call processingStrong data analysis skillsExperience with Python and its data analysis libraries, NumPy, Pandas, MatplotlibFamiliarity with MATLAB, Google EarthExperience with shell scripts and Linux OSFamiliarity with Wireshark, iPerf, and NetScoutStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to be work independently within a teamHard work pays off.
