This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a strong leadership presence, and has a solid foundation in mechanical design and engineering principles.Job Title: Design Engineering ManagerOverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee a team of designers within a growing engineering organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a strong leadership presence, and has a solid foundation in mechanical design and engineering principles.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for a team of 5–6 direct reports and approximately 20 indirect contributors.Drive change management initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Lead performance management efforts, including goal setting, coaching, and development planning.Collaborate with leadership to define team vision, scope, and long-term objectives.Manage staffing forecasts and resource planning to align with project and business needs.Support and oversee process improvement initiatives across the design function.Serve as a key liaison between design and other engineering or operational teams.Ensure alignment of design output with technical standards and organizational municate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability.QualificationsProven leadership experience managing technical teams, ideally within a design or engineering environment.Strong understanding of mechanical design and engineering fundamentals.Demonstrated success in leading through change and driving team performance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on team support.Additional NotesWhile this role will initially focus on leading the design team, there is potential for future growth into broader engineering leadership responsibilities.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.Strong company benefits are offered internally.
