Wayne, IN; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Omaha, NE; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; Norfolk, VA; Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; Louisville, KY; Eddyville, IA; Kansas City, MO; Atlanta, GA; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Honolulu, HI, and more.Job Description Summary:Interns will assist with operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment. Candidates with military mechanical experience, including roles such as MMs, EMs, Damage Controlmen, Enginemen, aviation support equipment maintainers, facility maintainers, plumbers, electricians, and similar, are encouraged to ternships last 60-180 days, pending command approval, with a goal to transition to full-time positions.Responsibilities include:Operating, replacing, and repairing HVAC equipment and working with refrigerants.Troubleshooting HVAC, refrigeration systems, motors, and controls.Assisting with repairs of building systems, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and grounds equipment.Maintaining and servicing pumps, valves, controls, electrical, and hydraulic devices.Participating in safety training and adhering to safety stalling and modifying building systems and finishes.Responding to emergencies and inspecting facilities for safety and maintenance needs.Maintaining fire and life safety systems.Performing soldering, welding, carpentry, and snow removal as needed.Using technology such as smartphones, tablets, and building automation systems.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.Work Environment & Physical Demands:Office environment with travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
