The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with mobile testing frameworks like Appium for both iOS and Android platforms, and deep expertise with visual testing tools such as Applitools or Percy for ensuring UI consistency and detecting visual regressions. This role focuses primarily on enhancing our mobile testing capabilities and implementing robust visual testing processes. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in TypeScript, have experience with web automation frameworks such as Playwright, and be familiar with CI/CD processes and API testing tools. They will work closely with the development team to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through specialized mobile and visual automated testing this role you will:Develop and Maintain Mobile Automated Test Suites: Create and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium or related mobile automation frameworks, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across iOS and Android platformsIntegrate Tests into CI/CD Pipelines: Work with the development team to incorporate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment workflows, leveraging GitHub Actions or similar platforms to ensure rapid and reliable software deliveryPerform Component Testing: Use Storybook or similar tools to test individual UI components, ensuring their functionality and visual consistency across different states and scenariosCollaborate on Test Planning: Work with the QA Lead and development team to create comprehensive test plans based on user stories and specifications, using Jira for project tracking and managementImplement and Maintain Testing Tools: Select, implement, and maintain appropriate testing tools and frameworks to support the QA process, including working with Xcode and Android Studio for mobile testing, and integration with GitHub and cloud services where applicableReport and Track Defects: Efficiently document and track defects using Jira or other established bug tracking systems, ensuring clear communication with the development teamSupport UI/UX Testing: Collaborate with designers to ensure UI components meet design specifications, potentially referencing Figma designs for visual accuracyYour profile:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldExcellent Written Communication Skills: Effective written communication skills are paramount in the realm of software development. You excel in articulating complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. You write clear test cases and bug reportsMobile Automation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Appium or related mobile automation frameworks, with demonstrated ability to test applications across iOS and Android platforms. Proficiency with Xcode and Android Studio for iOS and Android testing and automationVisual Testing Proficiency: Experience with visual testing tools like Applitools or Percy, and a strong understanding of visual regression testing methodologiesWeb Automation Framework Experience: Hands-on experience with Playwright and other web automation frameworks such as Cypress or SeleniumAPI Testing Proficiency: Strong knowledge of API testing concepts and experience with tools like Postman or SoapUICI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, particularly within GitHub Actions or similar environmentsCloud Platform Experience: Working knowledge of cloud platforms and understanding of how to leverage cloud services for testing and deploymentPerformance Testing Skills: Experience with performance testing concepts and tools, including those applicable to cloud-based applications and mobile platformsBasic Security Testing Knowledge: Familiarity with basic security testing concepts is a plus, especially in relation to cloud security best practicesUI/UX Tool Familiarity: Experience with design tools like Figma is a plusPlease be aware that although this is a remote position, to be considered for the vacancy, you must have residency in one of the following states.California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, WashingtonRSAC believes in investing in our people.
