Overview Airtable is the no-code app platform that empowers people closest to the work to accelerate their most critical business processes. We are building the systems to ensure the security and governance of our customers’ data, including secure handling of file attachments and enterprise key management. We are seeking Engineering Managers to join our Enterprise engineering pillar, focused on scaling product experiences for our biggest customers. We currently have openings on: The Scaled Experiences Team (SF/NYC): The Scaled Experiences team focuses on the customer problem of using Airtable at scale. This includes owning Airtable’s high-scale storage and processing system, HyperDB, as well as user-facing scale-related experiences such as large view interactions, search, charting, and bulk actions on large volumes of data. Please note: while we employ a hybrid working model at Airtable (flexible in working from the office or elsewhere), we are hiring candidates based in San Francisco or New York City who are open to coming into the office at least 2–3 times per week for team collaboration. What you'll do Lead, manage, and grow a team of high-functioning engineers responsible for our systems and frameworks. Partner with engineering leaders to drive technical decisions and initiatives to build products in a high-quality and sustainable way. Nurture a team of passionate engineers; coach and grow early-career engineers and partner with senior engineers to multiply impact. Collaborate with cross-functional peers including product and design to define and execute short- and long-term strategy for the team. Implement processes to help the team scale and stay productive while maintaining agility in a dynamic environment. Who you are 5+ years of engineering experience (previously in a staff or tech-lead level IC position) and 2+ years as a manager, or a similar combination. Strong customer focus and experience working with Product Managers to define products, manage tradeoffs, and drive adoption with customers. Experience navigating large systems and leading high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience growing and mentoring engineers and managing, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects and work streams. About Airtable Airtable is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation and Benefits Compensation will vary based on location, skills, and experience. Our total package includes benefits, restricted stock units, and may include incentive compensation. For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range for this role is $240,000 – $339,900 USD.
