Control Systems Engineer MREJob Description:As a Control Systems Engineer, you will work with the maintenance teams to deep dive issues and opportunities within the control systems for conveyance, sortation systems, automated baggers, robotic systems, and more. You will lead the Control Systems Technicians and Specialists within your facility, providing technical guidance and support. The Control Systems Engineer will have a thorough understanding of controls infrastructure within the facility, and is the resident expert for troubleshooting control systems.You will..Monitor and maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards.Coordinate and plan work activities for the Control Systems Technicians and Specialists to accomplish goals, improve equipment performance, and maintain KPIs.Work closely with building Operations, Engineering, and Vendors in supporting MHE/Automation Systems within the facility.Monitor MHE metrics and partner with Operations for system performance issues.Participate in the interview and selection process for controls technicians.Perform troubleshooting of assigned equipment and provide corrective action plans when deficiencies are identified.Act as an escalation point and remote troubleshooting resource for Control Systems Technicians and Specialists, and escalate to leadership and/or vendors as needed for additional troubleshooting.Provide 24/7 On-Call support for your facility.Drive compliance on relevant OSHA, NFPA70E, and NEC regulations.Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate.Mentor all maintenance personnel in developing appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment, specializing in controls and automation systems.Act as a network resource for controls-related technical issues and lead network-wide root cause analysis.Partner with Engineering on the commissioning and acceptance testing of new systems.Audit vendor work to provide feedback to leadership on quality of work and SLA performance.Perform building project work as assigned.Mandatory RequirementsYou have..Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred), or 7+ years of experience maintaining and repairing large control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, fieldbus, reader/vision systems.Experience with Robotics Programming (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, etc.)Experience with PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.)Experience with SCADA Development in Ignition is preferred, but not required.Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Google Suite.Knowledge of general construction standards and techniques.Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and depth experience and knowledge of industrial OSHA, NFPA70E, and NEC requirements.Ability to travel as necessary (up to 30%) for business purposes.The ability to motivate learning and thrive in a teaching/training role.Acute understanding of electro-mechanical circuitry and its functionality.Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense.
