You’ll lead and mentor our Caregivers, guiding them in providing exceptional support with daily activities and medication management. You’ll communicate effectively with residents and their families, tailor care to individual needs, and participate in the resident care team to enhance their quality of life. Communicate with residents, families, and team members effectively and be able to individualize communication to accommodate resident specific needs. Complete assigned duties such as, but not limited to; showers, socialization time with residents, mealtime duties, maintaining neat resident spaces, medication administration, replenishing supplies, providing clean linen, and transporting residents to appointments. Document all completed tasks and ADL’s as soon as possible. Attend all required in-services and training in compliance with state and federal guidelines and facility protocols. Support current certification with any required continuing education. Participate on the resident care team by identifying personal preferences of residents, maintaining the highest achievable level of functioning, and informing care team of critical information. Assist with preceptor program, onboarding, and training for Caregivers. Ensure competency checklists are completed for new employees whom you are precepting. Attend preceptor meetings as designated by your supervisor or manager. Assign appropriate work assignments and breaks to Caregivers. Provide direction and leadership during assigned shift.
