This role requires recent shipboard experience, technical expertise, and the ability to support readiness evaluations and inspections.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise in shipboard electrical systems, including power generation, shore power, cathodic protection, degaussing, 60 Hz/400 Hz systems, and IC systems such as the telltale panel and 1MCManage and oversee electrical administrative programs, including Tag Out, Cathodic Protection Logs, and Degaussing recordsConduct readiness evaluations using the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM), particularly Chapter 6Support INSURV inspections, including familiarization with instructions, Master Event Lists, and Inspection Guides (IIG)Apply expertise in Material Maintenance Management (3M) and the Planned Maintenance System (PMS)Utilize the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) for Equipment Operational Capability (EOC) definitions and scoringEngage in frequent travel (up to 50%) and embark U.S. Naval vessels for extended periodsRequirementsQualifications:20 years of documented hands-on Navy shipboard electrical experienceThree (3) at sea tours working in an Electrical capacityExtensive experience operating and maintaining EL related equipment and support systemsQualified EPCC operatorStrongly DesiredRetired Senior Enlisted (E7/E8)Recent experience (within the last 5 years) operating / maintaining shipboard Electrical equipmentObtained an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) qualification on at least one Navy shipProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience as one of the following:An Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV);Inspector at the Afloat Training Group; orTYCOM staff focusing on Pre-INSURV preparationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentSecurity ClearanceMust be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearanceWhy Join Us?
