Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

OverviewSenior Supplier Quality Engineer at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher Life Sciences company. This on-site role supports supplier quality activities for the Miami site with involvement across Miami, Hialeah and Kentucky site operations. The position reports to the Manager of Supplier Quality and is part of the Manufacturing Quality Team located in Miami.Responsibilities Quality Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Compliance and Standards: Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies related to supplier quality. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier files including performance, audits, onboarding, quality metrics, supplier changes, supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and ensure accuracy and availability for internal and external reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, incoming inspection and production teams to align supplier capabilities with company needs.Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; degree would be ideal. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering environment, preferably in a regulated environment. Experience communicating with internal and external customers. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and working with databases. Problem-solving mindset with a drive for continual improvement and innovation.Travel and Environment Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier site visits.Preferred Qualifications Sheet metal parts design and fabrication process. Mold design for plastic parts and material experience. Familiarity with PCB circuit boards.
