Responsibilities include developing relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and developing new business. You will work closely with the account team, technical experts, and marketing to bring the full range of MathWorks product and service offerings to the customer. The qualified candidate should have experience selling complex software solutions into aerospace accounts or a closely related space.We operate on a hybrid work model: three days onsite, two days remote, with travel as needed for customer visits.ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business by phone, customer visits, and eventsDevelop relationships across the aerospace customer divisionsDevelop and manage a funnel of sales opportunities and activitiesCollaborate closely with the account team, application engineering, and marketingDocument and report sales activities using CRM tool (Salesforce)Attain monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals for new software licenses, and professional servicesExpand MathWorks market presence and reputation within the territoryPrioritize and qualify leads generated by the selling team, marketing, and sales supportProspect for new business opportunities within the sales territoryPrepare required sales documentation (e.g. trip reports, proposals, and territory plans)Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers in managing sales opportunitiesMinimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree, 10+ years of work experience is required.Additional QualificationsSuccessful track record in complex software solutions sales is required10+ years of direct technical sales experienceKnowledge and experience with the Aerospace & Defense industryExperience balancing volume and strategic salesDemonstrated success managing a sales territory and using a CRM systemExperience working with application engineers and sales support resourcesTravel up to 30%Strong verbal and written communications skillsSalary range of $159,100 to $271,000 (inclusive of target commission for staff in eligible roles). In addition, MathWorks offers benefits and a quarterly bonus program.
