These positions would work out of our State College, PA, Reston, VA, San Diego, CA or Hawaii locations/offices.ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.Responsibilities of this position include:Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environmentsManage continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiencyImproving systems through updates and optimizations using various technologiesPresent program overviews, proposals, and technical briefings at internal and external eventsCoordinate with sponsors and team members to identify risks, issues, requirements, and design solutions for project-level activity on a day to day basisThis job can be filled at multiple levels, depending upon the successful candidate's education, and experience. Minimally requires a Bachelor's degree or in an Engineering or Science discipline. Additional experience and/or education are required for higher level jobs.Prior experience/knowledge in the following is required:Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administrationKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and AnsibleExperience with version control software such as GitExperience with open-source technologies and cloud services such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with logging, search, and/or aggregation tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or PrometheusStellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problemsStrong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and managementWell-organized, independent and ready to work with minimal supervisionExperience in the following is preferred:Working with Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)Working knowledge in Java, C/C++, and MatlabFamiliarity with VMWare virtualization toolsFamiliarity with GitLabExperience with databases such as SQL, PostreQL, and MySQLExperience with open-source technologies and cloud servicesARL at Penn State is an integral part of one of the leading research universities in the nation and serves as a University center of excellence in defense science, systems, and technologies with a focus in naval missions and related areas.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and will be required to obtain and maintain at least a SECRET clearance.
