OverviewDirector of Inclusion and Community Relations at Alliant International University provides leadership and support to the University’s internal and external community initiatives. The Director will develop a vision and strategy that champions an inclusive college environment where all Alliant community members feel welcome, and will engage faculty, staff, and students to foster a welcoming and inclusive culture.The Director will assess barriers and develop strategies focused on recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce and thriving student body. The role includes designing training on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, and other topics to increase awareness and support of the Alliant values, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws.The Director will work across academic, operational, and administrative areas to implement the University’s objectives and multicultural/international competencies, developing the framework, relationships, procedures, and deliverables that constitute the inclusive plan of the University. The position aligns the plan with the Alliant mission, vision, values, goals, and brand and ensures compliance with federal policies and laws.The Director will lead Alliant’s IMPACT values integration across the University and support Public Benefit certification and status as part of the brand.Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel: standard office hours with occasional evenings and weekends; some travel to Alliant campuses and off-campus events.Responsibilities Independently develop and execute the department, and University Strategic plan that aligns with Alliant IMPACT values, mission, vision, and goals; lead IMPACT values engagement across the University. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate inclusion and engagement and advocate for a more just and inclusive environment using community-engaged approaches. Collaborate with marketing and admissions to lead high-level student recruitment and help grow the student body. Plan, implement, oversee, support, and evaluate community engagement efforts and partnerships. Co-lead with the Provost and VP of Student Affairs to improve student learning outcomes, retention, completion, and licensure pass rates across all student groups. Work with University Career Services to establish professional pathways for Alliant students. Lead Alliant’s Public Benefit initiatives and B Corp status in collaboration with the Office of People and Culture. Drive measurable social impact programs.Qualifications Education: Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and relevant higher education/diversity experience; doctoral degree preferred. Experience: Five years of work in higher education, preferably in training, management, or multidisciplinary/multiethnic consultation. Skills: Demonstrated success leading inclusion initiatives, data-driven insights, strong organizational and project management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and excellent interpersonal communication. Ability to work with diverse student, faculty, and community populations; ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment; adaptability to organizational complexity and ambiguity; commitment to higher education and the University pensation and BenefitsStarting Salary: $108,000 to $115,000 annualized (exempt position).Alliant-provided pay range: $108,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr.
