This position offers the opportunity to practice at two premier institutions:MedStar Washington Hospital Center110 Irving Street NWWashington, DC 20010MedStar Georgetown University Hospital3800 Reservoir Road NWWashington, DC 20007Position Highlights:A majority of the clinical time is spent as a dedicated cardiac imager with a focus on cardiac CT and Cardiac MRIParticipate in both inpatient and outpatient clinical cardiologyCollaborate with a nationally recognized team of cardiovascular experts at both MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University HospitalPerform and interpret a broad spectrum of advanced cardiac imaging studies, including echocardiography (TTE, TEE, stress echo), cardiac MRI, and/or cardiac CTParticipate in clinical care, teaching, and research within a vibrant academic environmentContribute to the training of cardiology fellows, residents, and medical studentsAcademic faculty appointment available through Georgetown University School of MedicineSupport and develop ongoing research initiatives with access to a rich academic infrastructureCompetitive salary and benefitsQualifications:MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiovascular DiseaseAdvanced training and proficiency in cardiac imaging (Level II/III training in echocardiography, cardiac CT and/or MRI preferred)Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, education, clinical care, and researchEligible for licensure in the District of ColumbiaAbout MedStar Health / MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute:MedStar Health is the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in Maryland and the Washington, D.C., region.
