The Department has 18 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members across programs in M.S. in Physician Assistant, B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science, and B.S. in Radiologic Sciences.ResponsibilitiesFaculty Responsibilities:Teaching may include didactic as well as clinical courses within the radiologic sciencesCoordination of didactic and clinical courses to support a competency-based curriculumEvaluate student performance and providing remediation as neededParticipate in the accreditation and assessment processesParticipate in periodic review and revision of curriculum, course material, program policies, and proceduresSupport the program director to assure effective program operationsAssist the clinical coordinator with daily operations of clinical education, assess students at their clinical rotation site, and development of new clinical site affiliations.Advise and mentor studentsServe as active member or chair of program, department, college, and university committeesEngage in active service, research and scholarshipAssist and attend student and program eventsContinuous faculty and professional developmentOther duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Program DirectorProgram Coordinator Responsibilities:Lead the continued development of the programAssure effective program operationsOversee ongoing program accreditation and assessment processesParticipate in budget planningParticipate in didactic and/or clinical instructionMaintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologiesOther duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Department ChairQualificationsMaster’s degree or higher in related disciplineCurrent ARRT certification and registration in RadiographyCurrent ARRT certification and registration in Mammography or other (highly preferred)Current or eligible New York State Department of Health – Radiologic Technologist License and RegistrationMinimum of three years’ clinical experience in the professional disciplineMinimum of two years’ experience as an instructor or higher in a JRCERT accredited programProficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advisingDemonstrate scholarship and/or research (e.g., publications, national presentations) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations.Active participation in professional societies and associationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication, time management, and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, and OutlookApplication ProcessFor consideration please apply online.
