Marine Surveyor - Equipment and Materials CertificationJoin Bureau Veritas North America as a Marine Surveyor - Equipment and Materials Certification.Responsibilities:Perform independent technical studies, surveys, and audits of marine equipment and materials at manufacturing premises.Verify compliance of marine equipment and materials with design, construction, regulatory, and statutory requirements, including ship classification rules and IMO conventions.Ensure manufacturers obtain Material Mill Certificates and verify component traceability.Review test records, markings, and production traceability.Witness fabrication processes and various tests such as electrical, proof/break load, hydrostatic, and gas tests.Review manufacturer documents and collaborate with management to reinforce quality controls.Produce technical audit reports and surveys.Travel frequently across the United States to inspect marine equipment and materials at client facilities and onboard vessels.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.At least 2 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in classification and certification surveys of oceangoing vessels or offshore units, with familiarity with IACS standards.Knowledge of industry standards, metallurgy, welding, and various types of equipment onboard ships and offshore units.Additional Details:Seniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management and ManufacturingThis position requires frequent travel within the United States to inspect equipment and materials. #J-18808-Ljbffr
