SummaryMorgan & Morgan is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its quickly growing practice of plaintiff's personal injury lawyers and supporting case staff in our offices in Columbia SC.The Personal Injury Attorney will handle a heavy and complex case load from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle and other cases in and around Columbia.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation casesDrafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memoranda of lawGuide plaintiff clients through the case processInteraction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavitsAttendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearancesQualificationsLaw degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law schoolAn active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (SC required)Minimum 2+ years of personal injury / premises liability experienceAbility to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation casesExcellent client service and communication skillsSuperior writing and oral advocacy skillsOur law firm's generous and competitive compensation includes a base salary, guaranteed commission, and competitive ongoing commission fees / bonuses (uncapped), as well as a full benefits package.
