Associate General Counsel

Job Function:Zealously defends, or ensures that assigned outside counsel zealously defends, all claims and litigation brought against the company.When applicable, zealously prosecutes all claims and litigation commenced by the Legal Department on behalf of the company.Reviews, negotiates and/or drafts appropriate revisions to contracts.Provides advice with regard to, and prepares documents to ensure compliance with, applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.Confirms the validity of Powers of Attorney, guardianships, and other legal documentation.Provides weekly written reports on the status of significant matters he or she is working on and participates in departmental meetings.Performs other duties and functions assigned to him or her by Deputy General Counsel.
