If so, we want you to join our team!As the Legal Director & Senior Attorney - Second Chance Project, you will lead efforts to serve people with criminal records, removing barriers to employment, education, housing, civic engagement, and community integration. You will manage outreach clinics, conduct community education, and supervise a dedicated addition, as the Legal Director & Senior Attorney, you will:Manage a team of staff, including attorneys, paralegals, interns/externs, and volunteers; recruit and evaluate interns/externs and volunteers.Manage cases through the Governor's Expedited Pardon Project.Develop and maintain sealing and expungement clinics, including online and in-person events; build relationships with partners.Create legal service delivery mechanisms and case tracking processes; conduct audits and improvements.Represent clients in legal proceedings; provide legal assistance and advocacy.Lead community education sessions on legal topics; develop educational materials.Collaborate on funding efforts, including grant writing and reporting.Support impact litigation efforts and research project outcomes.Work with policy teams on criminal-legal-system reform and advocacy.Represent OJPC in the community to promote our mission.Minimum Qualifications:Law degree and Ohio licensure or ability to waive in immediately.5+ years' experience in litigation, case management, supervision, and fundraising.Non-profit legal experience preferred.Experience with criminal justice systems and reform advocacy preferred.Excellent communication, public speaking, and project management skills.Ability to work with diverse clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel occasionally within Ohio.We are a nonprofit law firm with offices in Cincinnati and Columbus, fighting for justice and fair treatment.
