This role is ideal for a legal professional with 5–10+ years of experience, a strong background in real estate law, and a demonstrated ability to advise public sector clients. The successful candidate will work closely with cities, towns, and municipalities across Massachusetts, providing legal guidance on a variety of complex real estate and land use matters. This client is not looking for individuals who just handle Real Estate Closings.Responsibilities:Provide legal counsel to municipalities and other public sector clients on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, easements, and zoning mattersDraft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, and municipal land use documentsAdvise on regulatory compliance, permitting, title issues, and public procurement requirementsRepresent clients before local boards, commissions, and in public hearingsCollaborate with other attorneys and departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutionsConduct legal research and provide written and oral opinions on real estate law and municipal mattersStay current with Massachusetts real estate and land use laws and their implications for public entitiesQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar5–10+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with a focus on public sector or municipal real estate workStrong knowledge of Massachusetts real estate, zoning, and land use lawsDemonstrated ability to manage complex projects and interact with public officials and stakeholdersCommitment to onsite work at our Boston office, Monday through FridayThis is a full-time role that is offering a strong compensation package and benefits.
