This individual will be a hands-on leader, providing technical oversight for an engineering team throughout their service execution, ensuring engineers are technically prepared, projects are completed successfully and efficiently, and client expectations are met or exceeded. The role involves serving as a focal point for complex implementations, leading design workshops, and supporting pre-sales activities for professional services engagements.The role requires overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to Presidio and vendor best practices, and delivering a superb customer experience.Travel RequirementsExpected travel up to 25%. The position is based in the Tri-State region.Responsibilities IncludeTechnical LeadershipOversee execution of network and security projects, from design and staging to installation, validation, and troubleshooting of complex data and security projects.Provide guidance and quality assurance for network designs aligned with business objectives, budgets, and operational support capabilities, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure architectures.Support and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network and security issues, guiding team members during deployments.Client RelationshipsServe as customer-facing technical leader for all service engagements, including escalations.Business ManagementCollaborate with sales, pre-sales, project management, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions and meet project goals.Team BuildingFoster a culture of growth and development, focusing on technical and professional skills.Required Skills and Professional ExperienceAdvanced Networking ExpertiseExperience with complex multi-protocol routing and switching, designing, configuring, troubleshooting, focusing on Cisco best practices.Deep knowledge of core routing and switching platforms (e.g., Cisco), and advanced concepts like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IP addressing design.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and TCP/UDP services.Expertise in network security, device access hardening, and security protocols.Cloud Networking & SD-WANExperience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Aviatrix for cloud networking.Experience deploying SD-WAN solutions like Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.Security Solution ImplementationProficiency with security solutions from vendors like Palo Alto Networks and Cisco.Ability to implement and manage secure network infrastructure.Troubleshooting & CommunicationStrong troubleshooting skills, especially in routing and switching.Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and stakeholders.Experience2+ years' experience in team leadership or management of a technical team preferred.8+ years of hands-on experience in networking and security project implementation, engineering, and design.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related fields or military experience.Preferred Skills & CertificationsAdditional Security ExpertiseExperience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) preferred.Advanced Networking SolutionsFamiliarity with Arista CloudVision, Aruba CX, Aruba OS, VSX/VSF technologies.Automation & ScriptingKnowledge of Python, EMM, or TCL for network automation.CertificationsActive Cisco Certifications (CCNP, CCIE preferred).Active Palo Alto Certifications (PCNSA, PCCSE, PCNSE preferred).Your Future at PresidioJoining Presidio means becoming part of a culture of trailblazers—thinkers, builders, and collaborators—pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
