To learn more about the impact our employees have, click here.Position OverviewThe Residential Counselor, under supervision, is responsible for providing a safe environment for clients, implementing the program's mission, treatment philosophy, and policies in their care and supervision.This role involves counseling, observing, behavioral training, outreach, advocacy, and treatment to facilitate reunification or long-term placement, supporting clients to lead healthy lifestyles through various activities including psycho-educational counseling, life skills training, and medical advocacy.Key ResponsibilitiesApply knowledge of program routines and client populations.Build healthy relationships with clients through daily interactions.Understand and implement level systems and behavior contracts.Supervise daily living activities, including hygiene and chores.Administer First Aid as needed.Plan and participate in individual and group activities aligned with treatment goals.Participate in recreational and educational off-campus activities.Maintain a safe, organized environment and coordinate supervision.Provide behavior support, including physical restraint if trained and municate effectively with staff regarding client progress and plete required documentation promptly.Attend training and supervision meetings.Assist with weekend meal preparations if required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.At least one year of child care experience in a residential setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet navigation, with ability to learn new software.What We OfferCompetitive salaries, comprehensive benefits including health/dental insurance, extensive training, tuition reimbursement, retirement plan, and more.Our Commitment to DiversityWe value diversity, equity, and inclusion, believing that our differences enhance our service and care, aligning with our mission to support vulnerable children and families.Equal Opportunity Employer.
