Job Summary:The Assurance Experienced Manager, IS Assurance is responsible for leading a team of IS Assurance professionals in the review, documentation, evaluation and testing of information technology processes and controls in a wide range of environments.Job Duties:Documents and tests IT general and application controls for a wide range of software packages and technology platformsPrepares audit reports and recommendations associated with IS audit work performed and reviews them with the client and audit teamIdentifies opportunities to utilize computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) and manages the implementation of those techniques, as appropriateParticipates in the review of internal controls based on Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirementsCommunicates to the client areas to improve processes, strengthen controls, mitigate risks, and/or increase efficiencyIdentifies and prioritizes key risks, and assesses their impact and likeliness of occurrenceRecognizes technical concerns or issues and communicates those concerns with IS Assurance managementRecognizes and validates relevant technical issues and brings them to the attention of client managementManages and reviews the IS audit work on assigned engagementsReviews the work product of IS Assurance StaffEnsures technology is appropriately integrated into the audit processActs as primary client contact for all questions and issuesDevelops and maintains relationships with client personnel and managementConducts client interviews to obtain relevant informationOversees controls, tests performed and resultsOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises the day-to-day workload of IS Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work productEnsures IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant IS Assurance software and resourcesEvaluates the performance of IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional developmentDelivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for IS Assurance Senior Associates and AssociatesActs as mentor to IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates, as appropriateQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems, requiredMaster's in Information Systems or other relevant advanced degree, preferredExperience:More than six (6) years of experience of information systems auditing experience, requiredMore than four (4) years of supervisory experience, requiredPrior experience working within a public accounting or Internal Auditing environment, preferredPrior experience performing IT general controls and application control reviews, preferredPrior experience performing SAS70 (now SOC) engagements, preferredLicense/Certifications:CPA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP and/or CFE certification, requiredSoftware:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, preferredExposure to various industry ERP applications, highly preferredExposure to operating systems (e.g., UNIX, OS400, LINUX); and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL), preferredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and basic research skillsSolid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCapable of effective managing a team of professionals and delegating work assignments as neededBuild and maintain strong relationships with client personnelAbility to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnelExecutive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsAbility to successfully interact with professionals at all levelsAdvanced knowledge of internal controlsAbility to travel up to 30%Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.California Range: $130,000 - $160,000Illinois Range: $100,000 - $120,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $127,000 - $160,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
