About This Opportunity This role offers the unique chance to develop and expand a forensic engineering/architectural practice within a leading firm. You will oversee the management, execution, and quality of complex and large-scale forensic projects, with a focus on consistently enhancing client services. In addition to excelling at advancing the practice by securing and managing new client relationships, this role involves spearheading marketing initiatives and nurturing existing client partnerships to ensure they receive exceptional, high-value support. You will also play a key role in mentoring the next generation of forensic consultants, sharing best practices, insights, and expertise to build a strong team for the future. Responsibilities Attain annual revenue and profit objectives for forensic services Cultivate, nurture, and oversee the growth of the forensic team Engage in advisory meetings and provide support to staff to enhance business performance Sustain relationships with essential clients Initiate project leads and actively pursue them to fruition Craft proposals and engage in negotiations for supplementary services Oversee and track project advancement and financial budgets Deliver exceptional technical assistance to clients Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil/Structural/MEP Engineering (master’s degree or higher preferred) Professional licensure in Illinois 8+ years of forensic experience required Ability to lead and grow the forensic practice through business development, client engagement, and team mentorship Ability to prioritize high volume of activity and delegate effectively Ability to manage client relationships and maintain communication with clients after project is finished for securing possible future work Ability to manage professional and support staff, including outside consultants assigned to the project Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of complex forensics projects Ability to manage conflict resolution with minimal Managing Principal or officer involvement Benefits Annual discretionary bonus program Opportunity to purchase Walker stock – Walker is 100% employee-owned Medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance Health Savings Account with company contribution 401(k) with company match Flexible Spending Accounts and Commuter Spending Accounts 529 college savings plan A minimum of 3 weeks of Paid Time Off per year 9 paid holidays per year, including 3 paid floating holidays 5 days of bereavement leave and PTO Donation Bank 100% compensation replacement during short-term disability leaves Paid parental leave with additional paid time alongside short-term disability or state programs Paid community involvement hours Tution and licensure reimbursement Mental wellness benefits Employee Resource Groups and Affinity Groups Who We Are Walker is a 100% employee-owned company offering professional services to clients in the private and public market sectors.
