This position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.Key ResponsibilitiesContacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questionsReview new file assignments, all documentary evidence and approve initial pleadings, propounds discovery, and develop strategyInvestigate and pursue subrogation litigation, as appropriateConduct settlements/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)Prepare and conduct court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.)Conduct depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documentsPrepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnessesTry and/or arbitrate cases and prepares motions and summary documents in liminieKeep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, and pre-trial, etc.)Education4 year Bachelors Degree (Required)Juris Doctor (Required); Licensed, and in good standing, in the state of New YorkExperience1 or more years of experience (Preferred)Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job does not have supervisory duties.#JA-2This role is also bonus eligible; and base salary based on skill and experienceSkillsClient Documentation, Evidence Gathering, Legal Document Preparation, Litigation, TortsCompensationCompensation offered for this role is $66,800.00 - 120,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn’t just a job — it’s an opportunity.
