Join to apply for the VP Investment Consultant RIA - Boston role at Calamos Investments2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the VP Investment Consultant RIA - Boston role at Calamos InvestmentsSummary: The VP, Investment Consultant - RIA/Bank Trust/Family Office Channel (RIA Channel) will be responsible for generating new relationships and servicing existing RIA/Bank Trust/Family Office firms that generally have greater than $750m in assets under management within the RIA/Bank Trust/Family Office territory. This individual will also be responsible for developing and successfully executing upon a business plan, managing the territory, and understanding the greatest opportunities for Calamos.Primary Responsibilities:Sales and Relationship BuildingArticulates the quantitative and qualitative attributes of Calamos Investments’ solutions to clients, prospects, and the clients of our advisors.Builds strong relationships in the territory and collaborates with the entire Calamos team.Enhances sales skills continuously.Engages in insightful investment discussions to develop trust with clients.Reviews client asset allocation opportunities and how our solutions fit within their recommended allocations.Business Planning:Develops and executes a business plan for the RIA/Bank Trust/Family Office Central territory aligning Calamos’ goals with those of the clients.Evaluates the business plan against measures set with the Director of the RIA Channel.Territory Management:Organizes and covers the territory efficiently, focusing on high potential pletes travel, expense reports, and other paperwork weekly.Enters activity data into CRM regularly and updates information as needed.Performs related duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required.10+ years in financial services, with at least 4 years in intermediary sales/external wholesaling, specifically covering the RIA/Bank Trust/Family Office channel.Experience selling credit interval funds and ETFs preferred.Series 7 and 63 licenses required; CFA, CAIA, or CIMA preferred.Proven track record of sales success and relationships in the target channel.Extensive regional travel required.Success in meeting sales objectives with firms managing over $750m assets.Strong sales, analytical skills, and an energetic, engaging style.Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and sales databases.For Massachusetts Applicants only: The annual base salary range is $100,000 - $150,000, based on experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skill level, and location.
