Discover your next career opportunity now!Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced corporate attorney to join the legal team. You will be responsible for providing legal counsel on a variety of business issues related to the company’s operations, including corporate entity management, commercial contract negotiations and drafting, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactions. You will develop relationships, processes, and activities that support and continuously improve the delivery of legal services to the ARKA Group companies.We offer generous relocation benefits for eligible candidates.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel on a variety of business issues related to the company’s operations, including corporate entity management, commercial contract negotiations and drafting, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactionsResearch and interpret existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide information decisions and reduce riskPrepare and review various agreements, contracts and other legal documentsRepresent the organization in litigation, negotiations and other matters where legal counsel is requiredDevelop strong working relationships with business leaders throughout the organization across multiple business units and sites, including the UKPartner with colleagues across the legal department to ensure effective delivery of legal counsel to both internal and external customersRequired QualificationsUniversity bachelor’s degreeJuris Doctorate from a top tier accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice and in good standing with at least one U.S. State BarMinimum of 5 years of total experience with a top law firm and/or in-house counseling clients on corporate, commercial contracting and/or compliance responsibilitiesConfident team player who is highly collaborative and flexibleThe ability to anticipate and analyze the impact and consequences of decisions and recommendationsEnjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced and dynamic organizationExcellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate with personnel and management at all levels of the companyStrong organizational, time management and project management skillsHigh motivation and results-oriented work ethicWillingness to assume additional responsibilities as neededCommand of the Microsoft Office Suite, inclusive of ExcelLocation: Danbury, CTLocated in beautiful Fairfield County, Danbury offers a diverse economy, wonderful parks, cultural attractions, an impressive mix of private and public educational institutions and a vibrant arts scene.
