Role: Principal Consultant (Oakleaf & NIFES - Fire Risk Assessment) Overview At Bellrock, we harness technology to give our customers an experience that leaves them with advanced building systems, peace of mind, and value. You will work as a senior manager within the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) function, supporting and delivering high-quality FRA work commissioned through Bellrock brands. Responsibilities Oversee the delivery of projects, providing and maintaining a technically compliant service and high-quality deliverables. Manage the day-to-day delivery of work for self and others. Develop key client accounts and be their professional and trusted point of contact. Lead a small sub-team of consultants for mentoring and quality peer review. Act as the focal point for project engagements and ensure successful delivery of projects. Manage and maintain profitability and gross margin of work delivery. Assist in creating and developing reporting outputs, survey methodologies and project management tasks. Support sustainable service growth, statutory compliance and governance, client and staff retention, and development of the client base. Support colleagues’ development to undertake their roles, including delivering content at Fire Division CPD events. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication, including attention to detail in client relationships. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workloads, and manage time effectively. Sound understanding of current legislation to advise clients accordingly. Strong report writing skills and attention to detail; good negotiation skills based on technical, commercial, and financial acumen. Your Knowledge, Skills And Qualifications Professional membership at Member level with a fire-related professional body. At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in managing teams. Sound knowledge of fire safety and fire risk, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience including FRA work. On the Tier 3 FRA NAFRAR list. Level 4 qualification (fire-related), or currently studying towards it. Ability to undertake the full range of Type 1-4 FRAs. Working arrangements We embrace smarter working practices with flexible hours and remote options where possible.
