We are motivated by a sense of responsibility and servant leadership.Job DescriptionContract Drafting and ReviewDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including transportation agreements, warehousing contracts, service agreements, and vendor contracts.Ensure that contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations and reflect the best interests of the company.Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate them.Develop and implement strategies to protect the company’s interests and minimize legal exposure.Regulatory ComplianceStay updated on federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to logistics, transportation, and warehouse management.Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including DOT, FMCSA, OSRA, and others.Legal ResearchConduct legal research to stay current with evolving legal trends and industry-specific issues.Translate legal findings into actionable recommendations for the company.Assist in resolving disputes, including contract disputes, claims, and litigation matters.Collaborate with outside counsel when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned or needed, including working across time zones and cultures with a cross-functional group of stakeholders and assisting with ad-hoc or special projects.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California.4+ years of legal practice, including at least 1 year in logistics, transportation, and warehouse management-related transactional experience.Working knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as DOT, FMCSA, OSRA, and logistics and warehousing contracts.Experience with different modes of transportation (e.g., truckload, flatbed, LTL, railroad, ocean, import & export).Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, and handle multiple demands simultaneously.Excellent client relationship, communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people with varying legal exposure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Exceptional attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to conduct internet research and learn internal contract management tools.Physical Demands:The ability to talk and hear while performing job duties.The ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.Dexterity to write and use a computer keyboard and mouse.Capability to multitask and solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.Occasionally lift office products, materials, and supplies up to 20 pounds.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
