This full-time, non-remote position offers flexibility in office locations including Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco, and Washington DC.The Patent Associate will work closely with clients across various industries, supporting patent portfolio development, procurement, prosecution, client counseling, and patent management. The role also involves patent analysis and potential litigation support.Applicants Should Have Focused Experience In The Following Areas:2-5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience in the mechanical arts (e.g., recreational vehicles, industrial devices, medical devices, consumer devices), either in-house or as outside counselA BS degree in mechanical engineering is preferred; candidates with other degrees will also be consideredLegal, industry, or academic experience in mechanical engineering or related fields is desirableActive bar admission in California, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Washington, D.C.Registered to practice before the USPTOStrong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage large dockets and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with large organizations' patent operations, including international entitiesExcellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work independentlyTo apply, upload a cover letter addressed to Beka Anardi, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample.
