This role is ideal for a passionate advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in the courtroom, and committed to delivering top-tier legal representation for our personal injury clients. You will handle a full litigation caseload, with the support of a dedicated team.Key Responsibilities:Handle and manage Personal Injury files from file through trialWork up litigation files from filing the lawsuit, writing discovery and depositions, and trying the caseWillingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff and other lawyersSuccessfully lead a litigation team of 5 plus peopleLitigate a case from beginning to endHave good work ethics and present strong attention to detailAbility to work cohesively in a team environmentExperience in supervising and managing other team membersPre-Litigation case management and negotiation experienceExperience handling cases involving commercial motor vehiclesWilling to expand knowledge of trucking litigation and obtain board certification in truck accident lawWilling to work independently yet be accountableQualifications:Graduate of an ABA-accredited law schoolCurrent member of the Texas Bar in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-NexisAbility to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutionsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsTrial experience preferredCommercial case experience a plusExperiencing litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plusPhysical Requirements:Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event municate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
