Associate Attorney – Intellectual Property LitigationOur client is seeking an experienced Associate to join their Litigation Practice in Washington, D.C. The Associate will work on a wide range of intellectual property litigation matters involving patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks. The role also includes involvement in post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as matters related to opinions, counseling, and transactions.This position is ideal for a candidate looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, high-tech litigation group.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle intellectual property litigation matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets.Participate in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Assist with opinions, counseling, and transactional IP-related matters.Conduct high-level legal research and analysis.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.Collaborate with partners and team members while also taking ownership of projects and client matters.QualificationsExperience: 2–5 years of intellectual property litigation experience, including patent and/or copyright litigation.Education/Technical Background: Undergraduate or advanced degree, or relevant industry experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or Physics.Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skills.Excellent written and oral communication abilities.Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Team-oriented mindset with interest in assuming responsibility for client matters.LicensingMust be admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing.Admission to the D.C.
